Young Entrepreneurs ✌️
Are you a Nottinghamshire resident between the ages of 16 and 30, with a great idea for a stall at Ruddington Village Market to sell something that you make?
We’d love to hear from you! We’re working with local businesses to give two young people a year the chance to try out their idea, with some great benefits!
- FREE coaching for two months before your first market, including
- business start-up and brand coaching, in association with WigWag
- book-keeping and stock control coaching, in association with Black Cat Accounting
- social media and sustainability coaching, in association with The Bottle Top
- A FREE stall at Ruddington Village Market for one month, followed by three months at an amazing £5 pitch fee per market
- On-site market support
- Follow-up coaching after your first market
The scheme runs two cycles per year, with each cycle sponsoring one young person through our coaching, mentoring and market programme. Please refer to the table below.To apply for the next cycle, send an email to youngtraders@ruddingtonvillagemarket.co.uk, and provide the following:
- your name, age, address and telephone number
- a description of your product idea,
- photographs of your products if available, and
- if you’ve already made a head start selling your product, a short description of what you’ve done so far… but don’t worry if you haven’t – we’re here to help!
Terms and Conditions:
Information provided shall be used solely for the purposes of application assessment, and subject to the privacy policy at www.ruddingtonvillagemarket.co.uk
- applicants must live in Nottinghamshire, and be between the ages of 16 and 30
- the proposed product for sale must be made by the applicant; resale of products will not be considered
- applicants understand that that the Young Entrepreneurs Programme is limited to two cycle per year, each cycle taking one person
- the successful applicant agrees to attend an introductory meeting and initial coaching session
- the successful applicant agrees to attend subsequent coaching sessions as necessary
- the successful applicant must arrange their own Public Liability Insurance and Food Hygiene Certificate (the Ruddington Village Market team will support the applicant to acquire these if necessary)
- the successful applicant agrees to attend Ruddington Village Market for four months
- the successful applicant agrees to make best endeavours to provide ad-hoc peer support to the next successful applicant
- the successful applicant agrees that the Young Entrepreneurs Programme is limited to two months coaching and four months market trading; thereafter, market pitches must be applied for via the standard Ruddington Village Market application process, with no guarantee of acceptance.
